A little more snow

Of course all of these pictures are taken from "inside" the house where it is warm.
Probably two to three inches so far.

Snow in Albany for Deyce's Birthday

The snow looks beautiful. Mom is sooooo excited. I think she brought in about 400 loads of wood for the fire this morning. Ok, so it was only 4, but she is all dug in for day. Go Mom.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEYCE!!

It doesn't look as pretty as Utah but we will take it. ha ha.

Ward Christmas party

This is a picture we took before our wards Christmas party. Brent and I were playing Mary and Joseph. I think Mary was much younger and much thinner (okay except for the full term belly part) but they had to take what they could get. :) I just think the kids look so adorable. They were so excited to dress up. Our chapel was decorated with buildings they constructed out of wood and fabric. At each building was a type of food you could buy with some money they gave you when you entered. They had hummus, figs, nuts, cookies, etc. It was really well put together. I do kind of wish they had had Santa (maybe in another room) but I realize that would have taken away from the whole spirit of the evening. So all in all it was a success.

Bathroom Update

We are finally done (almost). Here it is:

Goodbye & Hello

So, most of you have probably heard that we purchased a new car. It's a '96 Honda CRV. We did a little shopping online, spent a Saturday checking out several cars, and then saw this one pop up later the next week. We were excited - it was newer than the ones that we had been looking at, it didn't smell bad, and it wasn't too much more expensive. Deciding whether or not to spend thousands of dollars on a vehicle is hard, but we made the decision, and the car is ours. (I'll just throw in that it's fun, too.)

It was hard to part with the Altima. We have a lot of memories together, the Altima and I. But, Garrick and I knew that 2 people don't exactly need 3 cars. Anyway, a couple of teachers at my school mentioned interest in buying the Altima for their kids. I cleaned it up on Saturday and decided to start trying to sell it on Monday.

I posted the car on KSL.com at 8:00 on Monday morning. Before I even finished posting it, I had my first call. I decided I better call those teachers at my school and let them know that the car was for sale in case they really were interested. Garrick and I were both gone until 10 that morning, but between 8 and 10, we had received 8 calls from people interested in looking at the car and possibly buying it. We set up appointments with the first two. They were coming from up north and were supposed to be here at 10:30 and 10:45.

Neither one of them showed up. Just after 11, I received a call from my principal. He wanted the car. I told him that it was his. It was probably only 1/2 hour later when both of those appointments showed up. They were disappointed that the car was already sold. I felt bad, but they were late. Another teacher called me back an hour or so later, also hoping to buy the Altima. Who knew that it would be such a hot commodity!?! So, let this be a lesson to you...if you have an old car, don't trade it in. We probably made 3 times what a dealer would have given us by taking a few hours to sell it on our own.
Goodbye:

Lotsa Snow!

So, I took these pictures over a month ago, planning to post a blog about all of the snow that we've gotten. We've since received even more snow on top of that old snow that never completely melted. The snow is beautiful, but we are looking forward to warmer weather. I will add that I love having a real fireplace and listening to the crackle of the wood burning.

I just wrote a really long post and the published it, but since I was logged on as brentanddeena, it published it to our blog. So frustrating. So now I don't have time to rewrite. But just know that I tried! I'm off to the doctor with Jacob. He has pinkeye. ugh. Hope you are all having a fabulous January. I'll write later. Love ya
