Saturday Morning

Possible reasons for Dad's early morning Saturday attire:
a. He is becoming a Seventh Day Adventist
b. Time flies by when you're over 60 (I wouldn't know)
c. He loves meetings so much he wants to go every day.
d. He likes getting up really early every day.

News from Albany

Deyce, Garrick and Mom went to Silver Creek Falls when they were here in April. It wasn't the warmest of days but we didn't have to fight the crowds.
Dad, Kelly, and I went to Tryton Creek State Park for the Trillian Festival. It was a very eco friendly and socially friendly bunch of people. This park is right up the road from Lewis and Clark College. I think it is about 800 acres.

Our new Bathroom. We began on April 21st and finished today, May 22nd.

I have a new calling. I am the ward Activities Chairman and I am pretty much scared to death. It was on my list of "I never want to do that things". If I do well it will be because of divine intervention, not from any social skills on my part. The only thing that is keeping me from "going over the edge" is the knowledge that I have been called to do many things that I didn't think I could do-primary chorister- for example. I have learned that Heavenly Father helps us accomplish things that we may not feel adequate to do. We stretch a little and grow a lot. For this I guess I should feel thankful--and I'm sure I will feel thankful, but not quite yet :)

More Projects...

Apparently I am going to get the "Blogger of the Month" award. You guys didn't know it existed? If you post 3 times in a row, you're automatically in the final runnings. : )

Anyway, I just thought I'd share the results of our most recent update to the house. We had plantation shutters put in the front room last week, and we really like them! We also took down the wooden blinds that were on the sliding door and put up a decorative curtain rod.

New Due Date

I had my second doctor's appointment on Friday. The doctor was looking over the paperwork and said, "Sometimes the nurses forget that it is a leap year." Apparently, he recalculated my due date as Oct 31. Not that it really matters exactly when the due date is, but how much more exciting to say we're due in October rather than November! Anyway, we have an ultrasound scheduled for June 13. We're very excited to find out what we're having, and we'll keep you posted. : )
