News from Albany

Deyce, Garrick and Mom went to Silver Creek Falls when they were here in April. It wasn't the warmest of days but we didn't have to fight the crowds.
Dad, Kelly, and I went to Tryton Creek State Park for the Trillian Festival. It was a very eco friendly and socially friendly bunch of people. This park is right up the road from Lewis and Clark College. I think it is about 800 acres.

Our new Bathroom. We began on April 21st and finished today, May 22nd.

I have a new calling. I am the ward Activities Chairman and I am pretty much scared to death. It was on my list of "I never want to do that things". If I do well it will be because of divine intervention, not from any social skills on my part. The only thing that is keeping me from "going over the edge" is the knowledge that I have been called to do many things that I didn't think I could do-primary chorister- for example. I have learned that Heavenly Father helps us accomplish things that we may not feel adequate to do. We stretch a little and grow a lot. For this I guess I should feel thankful--and I'm sure I will feel thankful, but not quite yet :)

The bathroom looks awesome! I'm sure you'll do a great job on activities (but I would not be seeking that calling either). What are your responsibilities? Quarterly ward activities?
