Savvy Shopper

Ok, so I think I'm a savvy shopper (at least once in a while). In reality, I'd love to be a savvy shopper, but it only happens occasionally. This was my most recent success:

Yes, we are cereal junkies at our house, and that is a picture of 17 boxes of cereal (which we will easily eat before their expiration dates). The total cost? $24

But wait, that's not all... In addition, I received coupons (also in the picture) for $5 off my next shopping trip and for one free gallon of milk. What a deal!

While I'm posting, I thought I'd also throw in a picture of what we woke up to yesterday morning. Yes, that was March 30, 2009.

And, I can't post without throwing in a picture of Logan. This was taken yesterday as well.

Logan looks so big in that picture! So cute! So I just got back from Albertsons and got 18 boxes for $11 I would ring up 6 boxes, with $2 off coupon from internet. Got the $5 off coupon and would go back and get 6 more. Did this a few times...I'm sending brent to get more tonight. What a great deal.

Wow, that is a great deal. I didn't realize that I'd be getting the $5 off coupon. If I had realized, I would have done the same thing...bought the cereal 6 at a time. Oh well. I'm tempted to go back and get more, too, but can I really justify it when there are only 2 of us?

So I went to Staples and agonized over getting the 50, 100, or 200 sheet protectors. I finally decided on getting the 200 for 17.99. I get up there and they ring up $10.00. I said, "Are you sure that'ts right". She said, What did you think and I said, "I thought they were more" She said, "Well they rang up $10.00, do you want them and I said, "Yes, I'll take them and run."
Logan, What a cutie!

Sometimes I get confused on who "family member" is if your name isn't signed. I can tell that the first "family member" comment is from Deyce, but I'm not sure about the second.
Wow - I'm impressed with your good deals. I feel grateful just to make it to the store and home with food. Unfortunately, my kids aren't great cereal eaters!
Cute picture of Logan!

Wow, I will have to start checking into that cereal deal. I'm completely happy when I can get knock off cereal at Grocery Outlet for $2.00 a box. But, it sounds like you guys are getting an even better deal. I will start checking out the coupons on the internet, now that I FINALLY have a printer. Jeesh, welcome, Jonna, to the 21st century. =)
