When you smell something melting or burning, there's probably something wrong. The last few times that I ran my dishwasher, I smelled something similar to what we used to smell at home when some plastic item would fall down into the bottom of the dishwasher and melt. I opened the dishwasher, and surprisingly, it didn't smell all that bad inside, and I couldn't see any melting object, so I just ignored the smell. Oops!
So, I continued to run the dishwasher with its smell until a couple of days ago when it just quit - in the middle of a cycle. Turns out that my dishwasher was hooked up wrong and the wires and wire caps (Dad, is that what you call them?) were melting. Yikes! We were probably pretty lucky that we didn't start a fire. We got the thing re-installed, and we once again have clean dishes - this time with no smell!
Lesson learned. (I think.)

Sounds like my week. Our dishwasher died about a month ago. Got a new one, runs great, no issues.
Problem is the washing machine that leaked all over my laundry room floor. Not sure how long that huge puddle of water was there, it was hidden under laundry baskets, shoes, mops, and miscellaneous what nots, but either way, it ran down to the edge (where I happen to still not have moulding) and seep underneath. I guess the good news is only a few boards are warped, and need to be replaced (hopefully anyway. Why did I put laminate in the laundry room? We will be getting a tray for underneath) the bad news is that I can't figure out what is wrong with the washing machine. I have run three loads through it, and there are no leaks....?????? craziness.
Now you know how MY week went. =) Exciting, don't you think??? Haha.
I don't know who wrote this??. I haven't been keeping up with the blog and now I can't get into Dawn's. I got a password, etc but of course I can't find it and so the times I can't get in, I get frustrated. I will figure it out-I hope.
