The swim passes appeared yesterday. In the front room, next to the TV in the entertainment center was a stack of a day's mail. In that stack were the three passes with 5 punches each. Hopefully, they will honor them next year. Also, on the way home from taking Stephen to the airport, I decided to check my purse again for the lost Calapooia master key. There it was, between the lining and the bottom of the purse. I had put my hand down there before, bent the purse, felt around, etc and nothing. Anyway, at the moment nothing major is missing.
Yesterday, Kelly, Kaysha, the boys, and I went cherry picking. We canned 21 quarts and froze some and ate too many. Last night Eric came down and he and Kelly went Blueberry picking. We froze most of those. Melissa and Brittain also came down for the evening.
Today, I watched the boys and Kaysha, her friend Amy, Eric, and Kelly went berry picking. They picked, Marionberries, Loganberries, Raspberries, and Boysenberries. They spent the afternoon making jam and freezing berries. I drove to Lebanon and picked up some pie cherries that I had ordered. We froze them and Kelly and Eric made some jam out of some of them. After they left, I chopped a little wood and restacked part of the woodpile. I'm tired! It reminds me of 30 years ago when I used to do all this stuff. Why am I still doing it?? For one thing, it is really yummy. Anyone want some jam?
I would be interested in your Sunriver thoughts. If we go with a bigger house next year, we may need some financial help. Someone suggested families could put away $25 a month for Sunriver. If we didn't need it, perhaps the money could be spent on recreation or food. I don't want anyone to feel they can't come because of money. Let me know what you feel about this idea. I want everyone's feed back and then I will do some looking at places.
I had a wonderful time last week and I hope you all did too. I am thrilled that the "cousins" are becoming good friends. They will be a great support to each other later in life.
Hope you are all well.
MOM
