For those of you who thought I was faking it

Check out those Giant marshmallow toes - I hope those aren't perminent. Maybe I should have stuck with the flat feet. Look closely - do you see my foot arch a little? Miracles can happen.
This is the side where the doctor used the bone from my hip. He also put in two screws on this side. I didn't realize I had five screws in my foot until I saw the x-rays (I thought there were going to be three)
I love the arrow pointing to the foot. The pre-operation nurse drew that on there. They could have screwed up and done the other foot for all I care - they have to both be done sooner or later.
If you look closely you can see the 5 screws. I had invisioned them all neatly lined up in a row, evenly spaced apart. Uh..yeah apparently the doctor was on crack because what's up with this crisscross screw stuff? Do you see the one that is like 3 inches long? Creepy.
All I have to say about this one is that X marks the spot.

It looks like they actually flattened your foot even more. Better amputate.
